Some of the criteria that a school’s students may be required to meet are: (1) about one-fourth of the school's students must score Proficient or Advanced on the California Standards Tests; (2) at least 95 percent of the students must take the tests; and (3) test scores must result in an API of at least 590 or growth of at least one point. High schools must also graduate at least 82.9 percent of its seniors. You can find more information about AYP on the cde web site.
