What we do: Create evidence of inter- and intra-district differences in students’ test scores, spanning ten years’ time for math, English/language arts and science.

What you do: Move beyond the impasse that results from one-dimensional evidence of “how big is the gap here?” By showing the gap in students’ scores, framed in a context of similar districts you learn how wide your gaps are in relation to others. By showing ten years of historical evidence, you learn how your own districts’ gaps have changed over time. You can move community conversations from the zone of friction into the zone of illumination, and move on to talk with districts which have smaller gaps than your own.
