You can assign all the financial information entry, or you can do some or all of it yourself. Read below to learn more about the process.

DISTRICT FINANCES (aggregate data—not school-by-school)

Under the FINANCES menu tab, click on DISTRICT EXPENDITURES.

Enter the Average Daily Attendance (ADA) for the district.

The individual categories appear as Unrestricted and Restricted. (Click on the Object Codes if you need definitions.) You must enter a number into each cell, even if that number is zero. Please round off to whole dollars.

FIG. 1

When you're finished entering the data, press the SUBMIT button. If any of your numbers are significantly outside the normal range (estimated as a proportion of the ADA), the system will warn you, but won't stop you from submitting them. You can go back and change them, or submit them as is.

Return to the FINANCES tab and click on DISTRICT TEACHER COMPENSATION. The screen is similar to the previous one; the key difference is that you start by reporting the number of FTE teachers employed throughout the district.

FIG. 2

If you've delegated reporting of individual schools' finances to people with the business office role, your data entry work at the district level is done.

INDIVIDUAL SCHOOL FINANCES

The work of entering individual schools' finances is similar to that of district-level data entry.

Under the FINANCES TAB, click on SCHOOL SITE EXPENDITURES. You will be taken to a school list screen, where you can select the specific school whose data you want to enter. Select a school to report on by clicking on its name. In the sample screen below, you would click on the name "A Street Elementary" to enter the financial information for that site.

(Note that the name of the person who entered the data and the date s/he confirmed it also appears on this page.)

FIG. 3

On the school level data entry screen, enter the Average Daily Attendance (ADA) for the school.

The individual categories appear as Unrestricted and Restricted. (Click on the Object Codes if you need definitions.) You must enter a number into each cell, even if that number is zero. Please round off to whole dollars.

FIG. 4

When you're finished entering the data, press the SUBMIT button. If any of your numbers are significantly outside the normal range (estimated as a proportion of the ADA), the system will warn you, but won't stop you from submitting them. You can go back and change them, or submit them as is.

Return to the FINANCES tab and click on SCHOOL SITE TEACHER COMPENSATION.

You will be taken to a school list screen, similar to that in Fig. 3., where you can select the specific school whose data you want to enter. The data entry screen is similar to the District Level Teacher Compensation screen (Fig. 2); the key difference is that you start by reporting the number of FTE teachers employed throughout the district.

FIG. 5

Your reporting is complete when the two district-level pages have been filled out in full, and all individual school level pages are completed. (Confirm this by checking to see that all schools have a green check-mark next to them on the school list pages for SCHOOL LEVEL EXPENDITURES and SCHOOL LEVEL TEACHER COMPENSATION.)
