This report lightens your workload, speeds up the release of SARCs to your public, and improves your compliance profile at the lowest cost possible. WORKLOAD. We handle the heavy lifting, acquiring data from the CDE by early September, and publishing full interpretations of testing data, API, AYP, and PI findings, most student and teacher data, and more. In August, we provide you with two forms for your team to use to complete the remainder of the report. Principals have far less to write than in prior years (six questions). They should be able to complete their narrative within an hour. Your team gathers Williams data on teachers, textbooks, and facilities. Your business office calculates what schools spent and what teachers earned. That’s all you do. We handle the back end of posting the reports online, and registering completion with the CDE. COMPLIANCE PROFILE. Satisfies federal requirements for understandability and prompt publication by the February 1, 2009 deadline. We also post your SARCs online, to help you meet the laws' dissemination and access requirements. AUDIENCE. These reports are intended to be read by School Site Council members working on their Single School Plans, board members, journalists, PTA members, parents shopping schools, business partners, grant-making organizations, teachers, future teachers under recruitment, and other educators. High school staff also find them useful in preparing for WASC accreditation reviews. LANGUAGE VERSIONS. This report is available in English and Spanish [sample available shortly]. PRODUCTION STANDARDS. Online versions of these reports appear in full color. Readers can find definitions for some terms by means of hypertext links. ONLINE DISSEMINATION. We post this report on your Accountability Web page, where we host all your documents. Your technology team will appreciate handing the responsibility for creating links and managing files to us. What remains for them is the much simpler task of creating a link to the master page for the district, and links to each school's web page. PRINTING. Few districts choose to print this report, preferring instead to post it online. If you want printed copies, we can provide them in one-color (black only), two-color (blue and black), or full-color. © Copyright 2008, Publishing 20/20. All rights reserved. |
