Did you know that your SARCs need to cover more than 50 data elements to satisfy both state and federal laws? Do you have the help you need meeting both of these compliance tests?

We've analyzed and addressed the state laws spanning from the 1988 passage of Proposition 98 to the approval of Senate Bill 1632 in September of 2000. And the CDE has summarized what each law requires of school districts.

We've also reviewed the federal requirements in No Child Left Behind. Congressional approval of NCLB made the accountability provisions of the law even tougher. Explaining and presenting "adequate yearly progress" is the easy part. But disseminating your SARCs and making them understandable to parents is now a requirement, too.

One precaution: The CDE's own SARC "template" alone won't satisfy these compliance requirements. Much more than this is needed.
