SCHEDULING
1. We provide you with reminders of work to do,
and the status of reports in progress. The Williams reporting
module contains status reporting screens that help you see who is
on time and who is lagging.
2. We help you get started as early in the year as
July, a critical jump on work to be published by February, starting in 2009.
WRITING AND DESIGN
3. We explain what things mean. This complies with
the "understandability" requirements of state and federal law.
4. We clean up, copyedit, and if necessary, rewrite
what your principals provide. This spares you embarrassment when
principals write poorly.
5. We create a structure for the report that makes
sense, and sequence the content of the report within that structure.
DATA
6. We calculate your middle and high school out-of-field teaching
events.
7. We pave the way for you to report Williams factors
easily, and release the results even before your full SARC is done.
8. We calculate school level averages at the county and
state level, so you can easily and accurately compare your schools to
schools that serve students at the same grade levels.
9. We give you guidance for reporting what your schools
spend and what your teachers earn at each school.
10. We improve on the reporting of your students' results
on the California Standards tests. Your principals will have no apologies
to make when giving SARCs to site council planning teams, to active
parents or to business partners.
DISSEMINATION
11. We help you get your SARC out fast. One-page
Fact Sheets in English and Spanish will be in your hands by mid-September,
ready for the start of school.
12. We take care of posting your SARC documents on our
accountability web page. All that’s left for your web admin staff is
to link to the page we build just for you.
13. We build school level table of contents pages for
all your SARC documents each year. Your web admin staff only needs
to provide one link from each school’s web site, so that parents
and students can find all SARC related documents for their schools
in one easy place.
14. We provide web logs that count the number of
times readers view your SARC reports. Learn which schools parents
are paying attention to, and track the changes over time.
